Team?

What is it? 

A leadership team is committed to help through serving the youth, praying for each other, leading activities at UMYF, teaching small groups, using their gifts and talents that God has given them to help further His Kingdom, and nurture and grow in their own walk with Christ  our Lord and Savior.

A Youth partner is a youth parent or an adult willing to help lead UMYF through activities, teaching lessons on Sunday Nights, bringing ideas to UMYF. 

Elections: Held at the UMYF Fall Kick-Off!

***** WE WILL BE VOTING ON A PRESIDENT AND A VICE PRESIDENT FOR THE '08-'09 YEAR AND ANYONE ELSE CAN BE ON THE LEADERSHIP TEAM *****

How Often

will the

Leadership Team

Meet?

Leadership & Youth Partner meetings
Meetings will be held on the 2nd or 3rd Sunday of every month at 5:00 pm, except for the Summer months which will be held at 2 pm until 3pm.

Calendar for Leadership Meetings

              All Red Highlighted numbers are dates that we are having our Leadership Team & Youth Partner meetings . These meetings will be meeting on the 2nd or 3rd Sunday of each month at 5 pm - 5:45 pm, depending when a holiday or conflict falls. There may be a couple months that we do not meet as well!

In the Summer months (June thru August) we will meet at 2:00 pm - 3:00pm unless addressed otherwise!

of  It?

Becoming part of the youth Leadership Team...............

You must participate in youth group regularly, come to the meetings regularly, leading and participating in activities with the youth group, and willing to lead activities (games) and small groups if needed, serving others and helping out where it is needed!

Presidents Responsibility

• Come to all the Leadership meetings

• Come to the Youth Partners meetings

• Announce the Sunday Night Announcements
      - Attend Sunday Night UMYF regularly

• Attend the church council meetings and give them a report of upcoming events and such things

• Attend other events that the UMYF does

• Pray for the food before eating (president and vice president switch back and forth)

Vice President's Responsibility

• Come to all the Leadership meetings

• Come to the Youth partner meetings

• Take notes at the meetings to update the website for the Youth to see what is going on!

• Announcements on Sunday Nights when the president cannot be there

• Attend Sunday Night UMYF regularly

• Attend the church council meetings and give a report of upcoming events and such things when the president cannot be there

• Attend other events that the UMYF does

• Pray for food before eating (president and vice president switch back and forth)

The Leadership Team Responsibilities

• Each week one or two people will lead the games for the Sunday Night UMYF before the Lesson

• Leading See You At The Pole on September 24th, 2008 and other activities as such!

• Small Groups ( possibly leading or co-leading some when we have them)

• Help organize fundraisers and activities outside of UMYF that the UMYF would like to do

• Come to some of the Youth Partner meetings
